Programs & Services
Academic
At Bawlf School, ‘Achieving Excellence’ isn’t just a motto; it’s a way of life.
We are extremely proud of the school’s long-standing legacy of exemplifying excellence and our students work hard to achieve excellence academically.
Fine Arts
Bawlf School offers a variety of fine art options from the elementary to high school level. Students are immersed in music, dramatic arts, and expressive arts at various levels. Our high school Band program has developed into a program where students are exposed to a variety of musical genres, eras, and composers. Our fine arts program has also expanded to include many mediums.
Athletics
At Bawlf School we offer a wide range of extracurricular athletic activities students may have the opportunity to participate in. At the Grade 5/6 level, all students have equal opportunity to participate in both Minislammers (volleyball) and Minidunkers (basketball). At the Junior and Senior high level, our athletic teams have a strong history of being competitive and successful. Junior and Senior High students may have the opportunity to participate in golf, cross country running, volleyball, basketball, curling, badminton and track and field. Due to the number of athletes, it is sometimes necessary to hold tryouts.
Our athletics program is very competitive with a multitude of provincial appearances over the school's history. Our high school teams are often in the top 10% of the province. Minor officials are also a valued part of our athletics program. Students not on a team are encouraged to become involved by helping out as a score-keeper, line judge etc.

Healthy Schools Initiative
VISION: Every school-aged child or youth is a part of a healthy school community.
MISSION: Promoting and fostering healthy school communities through a comprehensive school health approach that enhances the health of Alberta children and youth.
ACHSC-Alberta Coalition for Healthy School Communities 2011
Bawlf School promotes and role-models healthy attitudes towards mental well-being, physical activity and nutrition. Students in K – 9 participate in daily Physical Education classes while high school students have the option of enrolling in the PE 10/20/30 programs. Cross country running, golf, curling, and various other school sports round out our athletic program.
We are also aware the key nutrition plays with activity. Our concession is stocked with healthy food choices, as well as students are able to order hot lunches two to three times per month. We presently order from East Side Marios, Panago Pizza and Subway and it is all arranged by volunteers. There are several home cooked meals offered during the year that students and staff can pre-order from.
